The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers can be a great option for those looking to eliminate mopping from their list of tasks. Some have great mapping and obstacles avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than the other models on this list, making it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. best inexpensive robot vacuum has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through cleaning.
It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one sweep. Its 8,000pa motor is able to pick up dirt as well as pet hair and poop effortlessly. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help pull away debris from corners.
The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by much. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into tight corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.
Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't make the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install and works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum solely for mopping purposes it is important to pay attention to this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a wide range of features.
The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and detect furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and effectively. This leads to an efficient, consistent clean that's also fairly fast.
In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach a wide range of surfaces. This includes corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also have a flexible side brush that can extend to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be dried and washed to avoid build-up and lessen the odors.
Another feature worth mentioning is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction intensity and choose a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it should make, which will affect how quickly the device can move around your home. You can also turn off the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
This device has a fairly high price tag but has a variety of smart features. It's important to remember that it carries regular costs, such as mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every three to six months.
This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high rating on Amazon and comes with a wide range of physical automation features. The vacuum also has a power button which doubles as a 'Clean' button' as well as a 'Home' button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal option for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home tidy without spending too much time doing chores. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and long battery life that allows you to keep your home tidy with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It is able to perform mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping however it does mean that you don't have to fret about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.
We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair of pets. It was able capture an enormous amount of hair that our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannys of our stairs while other robots struggled. The noise levels were low, and there were some lovely jingles that signal that it was beginning and finishing its work.
Its biggest drawbacks were its simple app and the need to swap between the modules to switch between vacuuming and mopping. The app isn't able to hold multiple maps, which could be a pain if you have a home with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who want a smart device that can mop and vacuum.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have certain unique features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its huge dock which doubles as a charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.
The base has a few control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle the child lock which is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it gets entangled in a hazard like a power cable draped over a rug. It won't function until you manually untangle it. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't come with a "stuck" status alert on its application.
Another issue that could be a problem is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.
On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
